Continued...
Discipline is a very important part of Judo and we have rules the students have to follow while training in our dojo.We ask our students attending school to maintain good grades in order to be eligible to test and receive a higher rank or belt.
Judo teaches our students to respect one another,their opponents and colleagues, lessons they can apply in their non martial arts lives.
A judoka will learn;
- How to fall safely on the mat.
- How to do throws.
- How to apply wrist, joint locks, strangles and chokes.
- How to escape from grabs.
- How to use momentum to escape an attack.
- How to control an opponent on the ground.
- Body mechanics to better apply a technique or throw.
We like to build a good relationship with the parents and help with the education and development of our students. Children doing judo will become more attentive in school, show more respect for their teachers and others and develop a greater feeling of self confidence.
A good judoka has to be a good student!
